In a world where sustainability is increasingly important, it shows Coiffure Modern<\/strong> How hairdressers can creatively and practically reduce their carbon footprint. First Green Circle Salon<\/strong> of the network, they turn sustainability into everyday choices - big and small - and actively involve their customers and the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From old furniture to new values
<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In a recent redesign, the team chose to reuse existing materials. The old waiting chair was not simply replaced, but carefully recovered and converted into a new piece of furniture. Other hairdressing equipment and interior pieces were also given a second life: they were donated or sold second-hand for a soft price. The proceeds? That went integrally into a piggy bank for planting trees in the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smart use of residual materials<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A striking detail in the lounge is a wall lined with Scrummi wipes<\/strong>, not only beautiful to look at, but also functional: it provides geluidsisolatie<\/strong> in de ruimte. Gebruikte Scrummi-doeken verdwijnen trouwens niet zomaar in de vuilnisbak \u2014 ze worden geschonken aan een lokale dierenarts<\/strong> waar ze nog prima van pas komen bij de verzorging van dieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ecopots with a second life<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Also empty empty hair mask containers<\/strong> are saved and thoroughly rinsed. Instead of becoming waste, they are turned into craft materials for kindergartens.<\/strong>. The colourful containers are ideal for storing paints, pearls and other items - and are extremely popular with children. What cannot be reused is carefully sorted and taken to the recycling park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clients who go by bike are celebrated!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability is not limited to within the walls of the salon. Customers who come to the salon by bike<\/strong>, are literally put in the spotlight: for every cycling customer, there will be \u20ac0.50 put into a piggy bank<\/strong>. With this amount, the salon aims to eventually plant trees in the village. To make the action even more visible, the bicycle bell sound as tribute to customer<\/strong>. This way, sustainable transport gets fun, positive attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coiffure Modern shows that sustainability does not have to be complicated. By using materials with care, thinking creatively about recycling, and involving the community, they are building a salon that does more than cut hair - they are helping to build a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
